No. No name, no password, no email address. Open the app, grant your location, and the search begins.

The need is serious. The tone is not. Under the courtly robes sits a quick, honest app: location, arrow, distance, done. Ignore the crown entirely and you still get the shortest answer to the most pressing question.

1.5 km around you to begin with. If nothing turns up, the court widens the circle to 5 km and then to 15 km. In town the first circle is usually crowded; out in the country you will meet the third.

The compass does. Your phone works out the arrow, the distance and the bearing by itself, without asking anyone. Offline you still see the thrones from the last search. Fresh thrones and the map need a connection.

Yes, four filters are ready: wheelchair-accessible, free thrones only, with changing table, and with opening hours on record. Whatever a throne offers shows up in its dossier, as far as OpenStreetMap records it.

Honour, Majesty, and a fine excuse for a detour. Seven ranks lead from peasant to king: the first promotion costs a single throne, the crown asks for 500. Each throne counts once a day. Come back tomorrow and you may take it again.

No. Location and compass run only while the app is open, and nothing is requested in the background. For an even lighter march, wear Midnight OLED: on an OLED screen, black pixels draw almost no power.

English and German. The app follows your device language, and one tap in Settings changes it.

From OpenStreetMap, the world map volunteers have been tending for years. Position, name, fee, opening hours and accessibility all come from there. The street address behind the coordinates comes from Geoapify.

Then it is missing from OpenStreetMap, and that is where you can put it right: an account on openstreetmap.org, a point on the map, and it belongs to everyone. The app keeps the thrones it found for a day. If you would rather not wait, clear the throne registry in Settings.

It stays with you. The app asks for it only while it is open, never in the background, and passes it on only to the services that deliver the map and the thrones. We run no servers of our own, and none of it is stored. The full account is in the privacy policy.

Neither. No adverts, no advertising IDs, no profiles, nothing watching what you do. Only an anonymous crash report so faults get noticed, and you can switch that off in Settings.

Pro unlocks the four extra skins, once, with no subscription. The Knight Without Realm is a purchase of its own and a joke of its own: it hides every throne, lets the compass fall apart, and throws in the four Pro skins as a gift. You can take it off again in Settings whenever you please.

Yes. "Restore a prior coronation" in Settings brings the purchase back, as long as you use the same store account. Purchases belong to their store: what you bought on Google Play stays on Google Play, and the same holds for the App Store. Conquests and favourites travel with your operating system's backup.
